EDS at Union at General Convention 2018
EDS at Union is excited to share our upcoming plans for General Convention in Austin, TX, July 5 – 13. We will be hosting a series of exciting conversations and events and sharing information from our booth in the exhibition hall. Luncheon Honoring Bishop Barbara Harris
On July 8th at 12:00 p.m. CT, Dean Kelly Brown Douglas will join with Dr. Fredrica Harris Thompsett and the Rev. Canon Charles (Chuck) Wynder, Jr. to host a luncheon honoring the work and witness of the Rt. Rev. Barbara Harris, the first woman to be consecrated a bishop in the Anglican Communion. Bishop Harris is a past board member and long-time friend of Episcopal Divinity School. Her legacy has recently been celebrated through the publication of two books: Hallelujah, Anyhow! by Bishop Barbara Harris with Dean Kelly Brown Douglas, and In Conversation: Michael Curry and Barbara Harris edited by Dr. Fredrica Harris Thompsett.
The luncheon will be held at the Hilton Austin, Room 400. All EDS alumni/ae and friends who will be at General Convention are invited to attend. Space is limited, please RSVP by June 29 by clicking here.
“Toward a Just Earth” Facebook Live Conversations
- Racial Reconciliation: On Friday, July 6, Dean Douglas will join with EDS alum Rev. Eric Law and the Rt. Rev.
